Teen Wolf and Go Go Dancer

My only regret was not getting classic photos such as the bowling alley scene and the beer can scene.

After searching for a Teen Wolf costume for hours and hours and finding absolutely nothing to purchase at all, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create my own Teen Wolf Halloween costume.  I also decided to share my ideas with the whole world by making a site about it.  In this site I will show you exactly how to make your own Teen Wolf Halloween costume from start to finish.  We will cover the hair, the mask, the jacket, the uniform, the pants, the shoes, and all the finishing touches that will make everyone green with envy, because if you follow my advice you will walk into your Halloween party with the most unique, original Halloween costume, which will turn heads and make everybody say, "Wow.  I wish I had thought of something creative like that."  Furthermore, with this site I will remind you of all the great Teen Wolf characters and the roles they played so you can actually play the part, which will make your costume even better.  I will cover the cast of characters including Scott Howard, Harold Howard, Stiles, Chubby, Mick McAllister, Boof, Coach Finstock, Principle Rusty Thorne, and so on.  But first thing's first, so let's get started.

I scoured the internet, searching for homemade Teenwolf outfits and to my surprise there were several out there.  Below are some of the homemade ones I found.  I will critique them and tell you what is good and what is bad about them, from a Teenwolf fan's perspective.

homemade teenwolf costume

This one is bad for a variety of reasons.  First of all, there is entirely too much fur, especially around the neck and arms.  Second, the lack of a mask or proper makeup combined with the rest of the costume is terrible.  If he wasn't wearing a Beavers 42 jersey I would think he was dressing up as the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz instead of Teenwolf.  Lastly, the guy is drinking beer in a bottle.  Every true Teenwolf fan knows that Scott Howard / Teenwolf only drinks beer in cans in the movie.  This is evident in the picture below, which is from one of my favorite scenes in the movie where T-Dub bites into the beer can after the Beavers' first big win.

Okay, let's move on to another homemade Teen Wolf costume.

homemade teenwolf costume with basketball

In this costume the fur looks much better than the previous costume.  The mask / makeup looks much better too.  He also threw in a basketball which adds to it.  However, he should have used an orange basketball.  Overall, this is a pretty good effort.

Let's examine another one.  Shall we?

Teenwolf and Back to the Future Costumes

Okay, first of all, the fur around the face is terrible.  It actually hangs down below his chin and you can see that it is not attached.  He also drew the word Beavers and the number 42 on his homemade jersey.  Then he has the audacity to wear a long sleeved brown t-shirt instead of wearing furry wolf arms.   "So what could possibly be good about this outfit?", you may ask.  I'll tell you what's good about it.  For one thing, it is dirt cheap.  Secondly, he has gone to the party as Teenwolf and his buddy to the left has went with him as another Michael J. Fox character from Back to the Future, Marty McFly.  Not too shabby.  He also scores points for wearing fangs.  Perhaps the greatest thing about this costume is his eyes.  I don't know if it is from the camera giving him red eye or if he wore red contacts (probably not) but either way he scores major points for having red eyes.  Teenwolf has red eyes a few times in the movie, the best of which is when he is in the liquor store and says, "Give me a keg of beer" in the deep wolfy voice with his heart pounding.

Okay, let's check out another Teenwolf outfit.

Furry Teen Wolf coutfit

Again, way too furry and the wrong choice of beverage.  However, at least he spent a little time on his face makeup.

Here is another one I find very interesting.

great Teenwolf costume

As you can see, the Teenwolf Beavers jersey is a big step up from the others we have looked at.  The mask doesn't look like Teen Wolf, but it is about the best you could hope for without professional makeup.  Again, he should have went with an orange basketball, though.  Overall, I would have to give this one an A -.

Here is yet another homemade Teenwolf.

another Teenwolf Halloween Costume

Even though the letters are drawn or glued onto the Beavers jersey, it is still a nice effort.  Had this guy worn a yellow headband this outfit would be great.  It's still very good.

This Teenwolf outfit takes a step in the wrong direction.

bad homemade Teenwolf outfit

If this guy was going for turrible, he succeeded. The fur is bad, the shorts are bad, the lack of fur on the legs is bad, and the shades are bad.  Again, he gets a little bit of credit for having Marty McFly from Back to the Future in the background.

If you thought that one was bad, take a look at this one.

turrible Teenwolf costume

There's only one word that could describe such a horrible Teen Wolf costume - turrible.  The arms fur and leg fur are decent, but everything else is simply awful.  The jersey doesn't say Beavers 42 on it and the glasses just ruin it completely.

Let's wrap this up with three really strong efforts.  This guy only did the Teenwolf head, but it is very well done.

teenwolf wig and mask

The nose is great.  The fangs are great.  The facial hair is great.  The hair on top is great.  It's also a nice use of sunglasses.  The sunglasses look much better than his eyes would have looked.  This look could work for three different Teenwolf looks.  It would work as the basketball player with a uniform, it could work worn with a Beavers letterman jacket, and it could be worn with a suit for the Teenwolf going to the big dance look.   I give this Teenwolf wig and mask an A +.

Here's another strong effort.

pretty good Teenwolf costume

I know you're probably wondering how this could be a strong effort, considering the mask is so bad.  But I think the mask has the funny factor to it, which makes up for the lack of quality.  I would proudly wear this outfit to a costume party.  The headband, jersey, shorts, socks, and sneakers all tie in together beautifully.  The fur isn't all out of control like a lot of the others, and finally someone decided to use an orange basketball.  I give this Teenwolf costume a solid A.

Finally, this is my favorite homemade Teenwolf costume of all.

best Teenwolf Halloween costume

What I like about this costume is it is different from the others.  This guy thought outside the box and made his own Beavers letterman jacket.  The mask is also very well made and he actually looks like Teenwolf.  The sunglasses are perfect for the costume and add a nice touch.  He should have added a Walkman and it would have been even better.

Below is the ONLY commercial Teenwolf costume I have ever seen produced or for sale. It sells for $49.95.   However, I have never seen it in stock.  As you can see, other than the ok Teenwolf uniform, the outfit as a whole is pretty darn turrible.

Complete Teenwolf costume for sale

UPDATE:  New Teen Wolf Jerseys and Shorts are now for sale on .  All you have to do is search for Teen Wolf Costume and they will come up.  They are even better than the Teen Wolf uniform pictured above.  This is what they look like.

Teen Wolf Jersey and Shorts

As you can see, this set is just like the uniform worn in the movie.  It is PERFECT!!  It sells for $54.95 with free shipping.  It is a MUST HAVE for any good Teen Wolf costume.

Here is one more Teenwolf costume that I just had to throw in.  This one gets an A + for originality.
